Theme of Violence
The types of violence we see in Animal Farm is cutting rations and rebelling against the Mr. Jones by force. The dictator that caused all of these violence to happen is Napoleon. He planned to rebel against the farmer since Napoleon felt like the farmer mistreated and enslaved the animal. One day the farmer came home drunk and forgot to feed the animals. The cows were hungry, so they sneaked into the shed to get food. The farmers found them and whipped them. Outraged by what has transpired, the animals rebelled and drove Mr. Jones off the farm.
Napoleon used violence when he used the nine dogs he took from birth to attack Snowball who won the other animals. He uses the nine dogs he got as personal bodyguards who will intimidate all others who opposes Napoleon. I think that the animals were going to rebel eventually, but Napoleon just made it worse. This quote is important to violence because During a battle, Boxer accidentally kills someone and is the only one to feel remorse and guilt for his violent actions unlike Napoleon later in the play when he purges animals for dreaming about Snowball coming back.

Theme of Power
The sheep is not completely useless. They are basically like cheerleaders that do simple cheers when you need them. We don't actually need less intellectual workers to support everyone else, but the cheering does help a little. The sheep have no certain power besides the fact that they are very loyal and say a few chants here and there.
